The Eagle View Walk Trail is a 15km bushwalking circuit that leads you to several of John Forrest National Park's less explored destinations.  The trail is a bushwalker's delight, covering a variety of relatively pristine habitats.  It's also more challenging than other trails in the park, but your efforts will be well rewarded!

"Goat Farm" Cross Country Mountain Bike Course

The Goat Fram is the home of the WA state championship, with 2 main downhill tracks and 1 cross-country loop in a condensed area.

The National Trust invites you to explore the great outdoors on Perth's doorstep and learn about CY O'Connor's pipeline at the same time.  Ride, cycle or walk the 75km track, or sections of it, from Mundaring Weir to Northam, from the jarrah forest of the Perth Hills through small settlements and towns to the wide open spaces of farming country.  

Note : Animals are not allowed closer to the weir than Firewood Road.  Mundaring Weir is a priority one water catchment area.

A 3km stroll will take you around the lake on a wide and level path.  See native trees and wildflowers and a wealth of natural bird life.  For those with extra energy why not enjoy the 6km bush walk.

One of the many attractions is the water itself.  Easily accessible with a number of beaches, even the youngest of children can paddle and swim in safety.

Mundaring Shire LogoThe lake is surrounded by native forest, which is the home for kangaroos, possums, bandicoots, echnida, native birds and wildflowers.

Top TrailThe Munda Biddi Trail is the first off-road bike trail in WA.  When it is finished, the Munda Biddi Trail will stretch from Mundaring all the way to Albany.  It currently runs 500km from 500 km from Mundaring to Nannup in the South West and consists of bush tracks and old railway lines.  To accommodate the cyclists are seven purpose built campsites along the trail and there are numerous small towns where other accommodation options are available.

Located an hour out of Perth, Paruna Wildlife Sanctuary is open for bushwalking from April to November.  Three trails are provided ranging in length and difficulty. Possum Loop an easy 2.3 km one way circuit,  Quenda Circuit a moderate 6.5km circuit or Numbat Track where you can spend a full day exploring the western part of Paruna.

Paruna is one of a number of sanctuaries managed by the Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC) for the protection of native wildlife and their habitats.  To achieve this aim, AWC conducts a range of practical on ground management and research programs on all its sanctuaries.  As an independent, non profit organisation AWC relies on tax deductable donations to carry out its work.  Your entry fee is a vital contribution to the management of Paruna.

Railway Reserves Heritage Trail retraces 59 kilometres of the old Eastern Railway that formerly linked Fremantle to York in the late 1880s. This popular walking, cycling and horse riding rail trail begins its journey at Bellevue forming a unique 41 kilometre loop at Mount Helena entirely on railway formations, before extending out to Wooroloo Reserve.

Weir View WalkWeir View Walk

The Weir View Walk is a 1.5km loop trail that starts and ends at the Perth Hills National Parks Centre and journeys to a viewing platform overlooking the Mundaring Weir.  This is a pleasant and scenic 20-30 minute walk.
