Camp Leschenaultia is just 45 minutes drive from Perth. Close to Chidlow on 9 acres of tranquil natural bushland , adjacent to State forest, with modern accommodation and facilities for up to 80 in dormitories and 200 in tents.

A five minute walk from Lake Leschenaultia, where you can swim, snorkel or paddle a canoe, take one of many bush walks or try cycling through the bush or on the Railway Reserves Heritage Trail which is nearby.

Tent camping only. No caravans or camper trailers sorry! Barbecues are available at most sites. Power is available but please bring your own power cable (maximum distance 50 meters). Washing machines are available. Facilities include toilets and showers. Advance bookings must be made.

A booking fee of $7.00 applies, and the cost is $7.00 per night per individual. All fees are payable on arrival. In the interests of hygiene, dogs are not permitted at Lake Leschenaultia.

Patens Brook is located within in a secluded area of forest in the Perth Hills and can only be accessed by a three kilometre walk along a forest trail. It has basic facilities which include two bush toilets, fire rings, a rainwater tank and 12 designated campsites which can accommodate 25 to 30 people. Firewood and toilet items are supplied.  Vehicle access is possible for drop off of equipment.

Cost: Per adult, per night $7
Concession cardholders per night $5
School age child under 16 per night $2

The whole campground can be booked for large groups.

NOTE : PATENS BROOK CAMPSITE IS CLOSED DURING THE FIRE SEASON (DEC-MARCH ANNUALLY)

The Perth Hills National Parks Centre campsite is located within Beelu National Park.  With easy access to Mundaring Weir, the Kookaburra Outdoor Cinema and a network of fantastic walk & cycle trails, the centre offers excellent facilities including:-

  • 12 Shady tent sites
  • Clean Toilets and hot showers
  • Large activity pavilion and fire rings
  • Undercover kitchen with fridge, power points and electric BBQs
  • Outdoor Picnic tables and chairs.

Why not add a fun, guided, Nearer to Nature activity to complete your experience.
