Karakamia Sanctuary

‚ÄčLocated near Chidlow, Karakamia Sanctuary is part of the Australian Wildlife Conservancy. Visitors can experience the magic of Karakamia by participating in a two-hour guided walk, starting at dusk.

Nocturnal animals that can be seen include woylies, Tammar wallabies and quendas (Southern Brown Bandicoots).

Karakamia Sanctuary is a non-profit environmental organisation established to help save threatened species. Foxes and cats have been completely eradicated from the sanctuary and a number of rare mammals have been re-introduced.

Bookings are essential as a maximum of 15 people can be catered for.

Costs: $20 Adults, $15 Concession, $60 Family (2 Adults and 2 Children)
